About the Kit

As a seasoned 17-year Emergency Manager with a background in the USAF, I've developed a passion for this topic. During a recent rewrite of a mass casualty incident plan, I identified a critical gap in emergency response for survivors and their loved ones. While most are familiar with Family Assistance Centers (FACs), the period between the incident and the establishment of the FAC is not widely recognized. In response, I developed the 123...INC grab-and-go kit, aimed at helping jurisdictions seamlessly bridge this crucial gap. This compact and customizable kit ensures that emergency responders are well-prepared to address the immediate needs of survivors, their loved ones, and friends in the chaotic aftermath of such incidents. By expediting the setup of Information and Notification Centers (INCs), the kit enhances response times, providing a vital resource for efficient and compassionate support during challenging times.
